Attar Full by Ahsan

Stay Inside by Raleigh Ritchie

Comfort in a bottle.

I love perfumes. They can be uplifting, exciting, invigorating. They can add purpose to the beginning of the day or bring drama into an evening. Beautiful bottles of oily temptations, to emit from the warmth of the skin or its movements. Perfumes can create moods and bring you right back to the time of your first encounter with its charm. If the words "charm, mystery and seduction" came in physical form, my guess it would come in the shape of perfume.

Attar Full is an unmistakable Jasmine ensemble. The box (which I've now recycled) came encrusted with jasmine pictures and it doesn't disappoint. It smells like Jasmine*. A warm oily and uplifting jasmine scent. The scent reminds me of my Southern Asain classmates at nursery, who begrudgingly came to school with Jasmine oiled hair, whilst they complained at their cultural torment, I enjoyed the shine of their hair and the scent of Jasmine in the breeze. This perfume does smell like Jasmine in the breeze.

Top: Jazmine Fruity Accord, Ylang Green Leaves
Mid: White Flowers, Orange Blossom, and Honey
Base: Peach and White Musk
Attar Full is not trying to sell you a dream. Maybe you're not quite there, you may have so much more to learn and so many paths to jump, run, and stumble through, to get you where you've always wanted to be. This scent doesn't sneer at your ambition or scoff at your audacity to yearn for its embrace. It's like a warm hug in a bottle. The type that needs no words and asks no favours.

The opening is sweet and stunning, but then a bitterness peaks through (Orange Blossom?) and warm rumbling jasmine tumbles out, and sits with you but, only for a while as it doesn't last. Like all healing hugs, it ends at some point, and this scent ends quickly. Too quick. This is not the scent that I'd wear to wow, it's personal, and most likely wouldn't be understood against the designer or niche scents of the world, and that's okay. It's mildly medicinal, and medicine for the weary ones who find peace and solitude in its accords.

Wear to: Everyday personal outings (going to the shops), cleaning, doing stuff around the house, meetups - times and places where you're not too focussed on smelling complex and "good" for others but, caring for yourself and your own tastes.
Suggestion: Since the longevity is so weak but, the price is very inexpensive you could decant some in a spray bottle as a little pick me up. I like using it in the morning and I think I'll incorporate it into self-care (buzz word) routines.
Similar To Jasmin by Milton Lloyd (which I've now finished, I guess this is my replacement)
Longevity: Poor.

Price: £2.99 (so yes it's not real Jasmine essential oil - imitation Jasmine)
